GCIOSA To Support Junior School With N12m Worth Of Laboratory

  Government College Ikorodu Old Students Association (GCIOSA) on Saturday said it would provide N12 million worth of laboratory infrastructure to boost science education in the school. Mr Ademola Somide, Vice President, GCIOSA, made the disclosure at the prize giving day ceremony organised by the GCIOSA at the school hall in Ikorodu, Lagos. Somide said that good infrastructure would promote academic excellence of the students during learning. “What we have done primarily today is to appreciate our young ones, the upcoming ones, by a way of prize giving ceremony which we organised for them. “The major problem we have right now is the infrastructural decay. The classes they take lectures, the environment, is so bad to the extent that when rain falls the classes are flooded. “So, we the almuni will support the school in our little way because government can not do all. “We will to provide the school with a N12 million laboratory for the junior secondary school.” he said. Lagos Reiterates Commitment To Providing Enabling Environment For MSMEs

The Lagos State Government says the construction of 44 Factory Units at Imota Light Industrial Park is at 86 per cent completion. The Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Dr Lola Akande made the disclosure at the closing ceremony of the 7th edition of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Exclusive Fair held on Sunday at Lagos Television Blue Roof, Ikeja. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that MSMEs Exclusive Fair is an annual exhibition of indigenous products especially the residents and the Lagos State funded schemes. The Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Logistics Command, Nigerian Air Force (NAF) AVM Hassan Abubakar had said that physical fitness was essential to the military as defenders of the nation's territorial integrity. Abubakar said this at the NAF Second Quarter Road March Exercise which held on Saturday around Logistics Command and it's environs in Ikeja, Lagos State.
