Nigerian musician and Afropop superstar, Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi has releases his long awaited debut album ‘The Evil Genius’ Mr Eazi made this known in a statement issued by his media team on Friday in Lagos. NGO Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Empowerment Of Over 100,000 Persons

The Dreams From The Slum (DFTS), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), has reaffirmed its commitment to services to humanity with the empowerment of over 100,000 persons directly since inception. The Founder DFTS, Mr Isaac Omoyele, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the organisation’s 10th anniversary on Saturday in Lagos Omoyele said the NGO was founded in 2013 with the aim of empowering the less privileged. He said the number of empowered persons cut across seven states, adding that 50 people would be graduating from the school of fashion, make up and photography. “DFTS NGO has three tenets which are education, empowerment and mentoring. “It started simply to make dreams of people living in the slum a reality using education, empowerment and mentorship. “Ajegunle, here in Lagos, is where the major work is actually taking place,” he said. Mrs Fatima Waziri-Azi, Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), says the agency has secured 631 convictions since its establishment. Waziri-Azi made this known while speaking with newsmen during the workshop for its Public Relations Officers (PROs) and Public Enlightenment Officers (PEO) on Wednesday in Lagos. Waziri said that the number of convictions in 2022 was the highest since the agency’s inception. “In 2022, we are able to secure 80 convictions, which was the highest  since the inception. FGN trains Cooks Of Homegrown School Feeding Program

The Federal Government of Nigeria embarked on refresher train for Cooks of the Homegrown School feeding Program across all  States and the FCT.  The training was in two-phases, the training of trainers which involvles all the Master Cooks in the 744 LGA in Nigeria and a Step Down training by the Master Cook to all cooks across the LGs. The Lagos State training for cooks was done on Tuesday 10th of October and 11th of October. The Master Cooks had their trainong at the  Home Economics Centre in St. Agnes Primary School, Maryland, Ikeja, Lagos. The organisers of the 2023 Havana Games on Thursday called on healthcare workers to engage in sports to achieve fitness and mental balance in spite their busy schedules. The Organising Secretary, Mr Emmanuel Okereke, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on preparations for the game scheduled to start on Oct. 14. NAN reports that Havana Games, a multi sport event, in its third edition, is a yearly sports programme designed for health care workers to enable them gain fitness and also interact among themselves in a more relaxed environment. The 2023 edition of Havana Games will be held at the National Stadium Surulere, Lagos. New FOC Charges Officers To Be Result Oriented, Takes Over Mantle Of Leadership

  The new Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Western Naval Command, Rear Adm. Mustapha Hassan has charged officers of the command to be result oriented stating that the task ahead was enormous. Hassan gave this charge during the handing over and taking over ceremony which held on Wednesday at Western Naval Command, Apapa, Lagos State. Hassan took over the mantle of leadership as the 44th FOC of the command from Rear Adm. Mohammed Abdullahi.   The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Vice Adm. Emmanuel Ogalla on Monday flaged-off Exercise Crocodile Lift and Ex Grand African Nemo 2023 towards improving maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea (GoG). Ogalla flaged off the combined sea exercises onboard Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) KADA which held at NNS BEECROFT, Apapa, Lagos State. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the exercise would comprise five ships from the Nigerian Navy namely: NNS KADA, NNS ABA, NNS UDU, NNS KANO and the Deep Blue Lagos.   The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Western Naval Command, Rear Adm. Muhammed Abdullahi has expressed satisfaction with the outcome of Exercise Crocodile Lift and Ex Grand African Nemo which held in Nigerian waters. Abdullahi gave this expression at the culmination of these combined exercises of the Nigerian Navy and the French Navy which ended at Takwa Bay, Lagos State. The exercise involved a simulated situation that involved the hijacking of hostages onboard a ship at sea with the two navies working together to rescue the hostages alive from the kidnappers den.
