 FOC says Exercise Crocodile Lift huge success    Lagos, Nov. 26, 2024  The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Western Naval Command, Rear Adm. Michael Oamen, on Monday described Exercise Crocodile Lift 2024 a huge success with regard to capacity building of naval personnel. Oamen said this during debriefing on Exercise Crocodile Lift 2024 which was flagged off on Saturday by the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Adm. Emmanuel Ogalla, onboard Nigerian Navy Ship KADA. The event took place at the Western Naval Command, Lagos.  Navy to incorporate Army, Air force in simulation amphibious exercise Lagos, Nov.24, 2024  The Nigerian Navy plans to incorporate the amphibious battalion with the Army, and the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in the next simulation amphibious exercise. The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Naval Doctrine Command, Rear Adm. Shehu Gombe said this on Sunday during the 2024 Simulation of Amphibious Operation held at Tarkwa Bay, Lagos State. Gombe said that the exercise was a partnership between the French Navy and the Nigerian Navy (NN) simulating a hostage taking situation and recovering them. “We had the French Navy assets, both vehicles and their Special Boat Service (SBS) Army, with NN ships, SBS, and helicopters partaking in the exercise. “The exercise scenario ran very well and we were able to recover the hostages and also able to carry out medical evacuation and amphibious landing and it was successful,” he said.  FOC embarks on familiarisation tour, commends Navy Reference Hospital Nov.21, 2024  The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Western Naval Command Rear Adm. Micheal Oamen on Wednesday embarked on a familiarisation tour to units under the Western Naval Command Navy Town, Ojo in an effort to improve facilities and better the livelihood of personnel. Oamen's tour in Ojo included visiting the Naval Airbase, Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, and projects supervised by Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) WEY around the Navy Town.
