 Nigerian Legion: Stop patronising imposters says commander Lagos, April 1, 2025 The Nigerian Legion, Lagos State chapter, has called on the public to stop patronising security imposters, particularly those falsely claiming to represent the Nigerian Legion Corps of Commissionaires. Mr Akeem Wolimoh, Chairman and Deputy Commander General (DCG) of the Nigerian Legion, Lagos State, made this appeal on Tuesday in an interview with ReelzzNewzz24 in Lagos State. Wolimoh said warning became imperative because of activities of certain individuals fraudulently parading themselves as representatives of the Nigerian Legion Corps of Commissionaires, Lagos State command. Visionary leadership key to Africa’s development – Prof. Badejo

  A Professor of Political Science, Prof. Femi Badejo, has urged African leaders to prioritise transformative development and visionary leadership to overcome external challenges and achieve progress.   Badejo, who works at Chrisland University, Abeokuta, made the call in a telephone interview. Badejo, also a writer and  diplomat, recently received a life achievement recognition award from the Nelson Mandela Distinguished Africanist Award. The award is given to Africans who has distinguished himself or herself in public leadership positions. It is organised by the Award Committee of the Africa Annual Events and the University of Texas at Houston. Abolaji Orederu, says the dockyard now holds a prominent position among docking and ship repair facilities on the African continent. The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has called for solutions to tackle global climate change challenges, saying Nigeria will remain committed in combating the menace. Shettima made this known during his keynote address at the symposium on climate change organised by the Climate Change Council of Nigeria Secretariat and the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources.
