 World Sight Day: Army conducts eye check, distributes glasses Lagos, Oct.12, 2024 The 68 Nigerian Army (NA) Reference Hospital, Yaba on Friday carried out a free medical outreach and distributed glasses at Tejuosho Market to mark the World Sight Day held globally every Oct.10. Maj. Stephen Okefi, the hospital’s Head of Department (HOD), Opthalmology, said that the Chief Medical Director (CMD) 68 NA Reference Hospital, Col. The Egg Sellers and Distributors Association of Nigeria (ESDAN), Lagos, has appealed to the  federal and state governments to further fund the egg industry for a better wellbeing. The ESDAN National President, Mrs Olaide Graham, made the appeal while speaking at a programme organised to celebrate the World Egg Day in Lagos. Nigerian Navy strengthens bilateral relations, repairs Benin Republic ship

The Nigerian Naval Dockyard Ltd. (NDL), has repaired, refurbished and handed over a ship belonging to Benin Republic to strengthen bilateral relations and improve maritime security. The Admiral Superintendent of NDL, Rear Adm. Abolaji Orederu, at the handing over ceremony on Wednesday in Lagos, added that the initiative was to enhance the capability of a friendly navy. Sandra Hitarh, describes poetry as an active component for generating positive societal changes in the country.
