35 African Women to Receive Award in Agribusiness

A Ghana-based company, Guzakuza says its 2022 Women in Agribusiness Awards will recognise 35 African women in the agribusiness space. The Founder, Ms Nana Adjoa, announced this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a telephone interview on Thursday in Lagos. She said that African women were doing a lot in the agriculture space as such, their hard work should be recognised and rewarded. Guzakuza is a company dedicated to touching lives by growing women Agripreneurs, new generation of graduates, wealthy farmers and healthy organic food. Chieftaincy Title: Oyagaga Family Urges Olubadan To Maintain Status Quo

  Alhaji Rafiu Olasunkanmi, the family head of Oyagaga Ruling House in the ancient city of Ibadan,  has urged the Olubadan of Ibadan in Oyo State, Oba Lekan Balogun, not to recognise the Jolokosimi family as a ruling house. Alhaji Usman, an octogenarian in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos, stated that there was no contention in the Jòlokósimi family being a ruling house. According to him, the Jolokosimi family is an extension of Oyagaga Ruling House which by virtue of custom, a ruling house cannot have two Mogaji titles. Going down the history lane, the Oyagaga family head explained that the Jòlokósimi family are are indigenes of Ibadan but were adopted by their grandfather as an humanitarian act. Personnel effectiveness, key to reducing court dockets – Judge

Justice Jumoke Pedro, Chairman, Governing Council, Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse (LMDC) says capacity building , personnel effectiveness and data management were key to clearing court dockets. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports Pedro made the assertion at the opening of a two-day training for the staff and management of the LMDC on Tuesday in Lagos. FG Partners World Bank to Mitigate Environmental Degradation in Nigeria

  The Federal Government of Nigeria in partnership with The World Bank, on Wednesday, reiterated determination to address environmental degradation in 19 states of the country including the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT).    This will be done through the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project launched recently.  The Honourable Minister for Environment, Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi, disclosed this during  ACReSAL Project Technical Work Plan Workshop which took place in Victoria Island, Lagos State. The Minister enjoined Nigerians to avoid degradation of the environment which has been causing climate change adding that the project will be handled by the Federal Ministries of Environment, Agriculture and Water Resources.   Life in My City Art Festival (LIMCAF), an annual celebration of creativity on Wednesday declared open it's Lagos region exhibition themed "Paradox of Muted Echoes." The exhibition which had about 34 artworks on display was declared open by Dr Kunle Filani at Thought Pyramid, Norman Williams, Ikoyi, Lagos.  The festival's 15th edition, majorly sponsored by MTN Foundation features competition and exhibition of works by young talents in the Nigerian art landscape.  LIMCAF which boasts of the largest gathering of young artists, patrons, scholars, gallery owners and other stakeholders in the visual arts in Nigeria would hold its grand finale on Oct. 29 in Enugu.
