Treepz: Over 15 Riders Take Ownership Of Bus, Company Launches Business Trip Model

The President of Treepz; a bus hailing service, Mr Johnny Enagwolor on Friday said that 15 of it's drivers would be taking ownership of buses for being dedicated to the company for the past three years since it's inception.

Treepz is a mobility platform that leverages on technology to make transportation predictable, structured and accessible such that people can book vehicles online, from their comfort zones without coming to the roads.

Enagwolor said that the company was launched in 2019 with 17 vehicles which has increased to over 2000 vehicles and the business has grown from just moving 5,000 people, to moving, over 2 million people across the country and continent.

"We thank our riders who we call super heroes because without them, this journey will not be easy and successful.

"We run on a hire purchase model and our promise to them from day one was that the buses would run for three years after which, they would become owners of the vehicles.

"They have been significant to the growth of this business and have stood by us, giving us positive feedback that has made us better today," he said.

The president also said that the launch of the new model Business Trips and website would go a long way at providing more service to the society to combat transportation challenges in the metropolis.

"This technology will give you access to login into our website and do your vehicle hire as it affects private vehicles and buses on our platform.

"You can do bus hire for schools to move your school kids to and fro with parents getting notifications whenever their kids are picked up and dropped off in school.

"Also, we render staff bus solution to and fro on a daily basis. You can also use the business trip for interstate car hires," he said.

Enagwolor said that some of the challenges have evolved around supply gaps because the vehicles were never enough to meet demand for trips.

"Hence, we are in partnership with certain people that could be bringing vehicles into our platform," he said.

The president added that the business has saved over 500,000 kg of silt emissions because more riders now leave their vehicles at home and use their services for commuting.
