TikTok Sensation, Erkuahofficial, Encourages Young Content Creators On Passion, Creativity

  Janet Offei, a Tik Tok sensation, popularly known as Erkuahofficial has encouraged young content creators to be passion driven and creative, to stand them out in the skit making sector.  The 22-year-old, during her visit to Nigeria, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the panacea to break even in the skit making space was creativity and passion.   She said that she did not just break even over night, but hard work and dedication propelled her to the level she had attain in the comedy space. "You can't force it if its not for you, you need to be very creative and passionate about comedy skits so that you can stand out. Western Naval Command Kicks-off 10km Match With 1,350 Personnel

  The Western Naval Command, Lagos on Saturday, kicked off a 10km march with 1,350 navy personnel to develop physical and mental alertness to meet the dynamics of contemporary security operations. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 3rd Quarter Route March held at Navy Town Ojo. The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Western Naval Command, Rear Adm. Yakubu Wambai said that the exercise would enable reconditioning of the body to ensure fitness of personnel's availability and readiness for operations. "I congratulate you for participating in the exercise. The exercise was to have held in September but was rescheduled to October due to the Navy Games," he said. Ikorodu LG Flag-off Construction of 177m Itundomigaran Drainage System

  Ikorodu Local Government of Lagos State on Saturday flagged-off the construction of 176.8 metres of drainage system at Itundomigoran community in Ikorodu. The Chairman of the local government, Hon Wasiu Adesina, said at the flag off ceremony that the drainage construction was necessary to ensure easy movement of water and to prevent flooding that has been a major challenge in the community. The drainage is 1.76.8 metres with 750 width with completion period of four month. “This is the longest drainage system construction project since this administration has started, although it is not the first project my administration has done so far in this commilunity.   Ikorodu Senior High School on Thursday emerged winner of the maiden edition of an inter-school debate competition organised for public secondary schools in Ikorodu Division. The competition was organised by Ikorodu Local Government in conjunction with Kadward and Associate(KA),an NGO. NAN reports that Ayangburen High School emerged first runner-up while Elepe Community Senior High School emerged second runner-up at the Thursday’s grand finale. The topic of the competition was: Okada ban on Lagos highways has done more harm than good to residents. While some schools spoke in support of the ban ,others argued against it. NGO, NDLEA Sensitise Secondary School Students On Drug Abuse

  The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and Keep it One Hundred Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), on Wednesday sensitised some secondary school students on the dangers of drug abuse. The sensitisation programme took place at Agidingbi Senior Grammar School, Ikeja, Lagos. Speaking at the event, Juliana Anake-Ugwu, NDLEA Principal Staff Officer, Treatment and Rehabilitation, said that the programme was aimed at curbing drug abuse in schools. Anake-Ugwu said the prevalence of drug addiction could be as a result of the immediate environment or family upbringing. “Our environment and the family we come from determine a lot,” she said. NGOs Advocate Healthy Lifestyle For Nigerians

Waka Community International, Health Emergency Initiative (HEI) and Q-life Family Clinic on Saturday organised aa health awareness programme to promote healthy lifestyle among Nigerians.
