Foundation Names Hon. Lawal, Hon. Kasunmu As Patron, Matron


A non-governmental organisation, Apekedynasty Foundation has named Hon. Bukola Lawal and Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu as patron and matron.

The duo were honoured after the Foundation's CEO Opeyemi Emeka paid them a courtesy visit with her executive team.

The CEO during the visit spoke about the foundation and her goals which is to provide educational support to women and children.

She said her reason for making the duo patron and matron was because of the things they had done to the community and their kindness towards people.

Hon. Bukola Lawal, the CEO BLK Assured and a former Deputy Chief of Staff to the former Agbado Oke-Odo Lcal Government Chairman was glad to be made the matron and promised to support the foundation. 

In his response, Hon. Kasunmu accepted the appointment and thanked the organization for the honour. He promised to guide, support and mentor them to the best of his ability. 

Hon. Kasunmu also seized the opportunity to urge women and youths of goodwill to deepen their support for the incoming administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he described as a tested and trusted advocate and promoter of women and youth empowerment, promising that Asiwaju will do great things for women and youth in the coming dispensation.

NATE Unveils Locally Made Industrial Tiger-Nut Processing Machine

The National Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE) has fabricated an industrial Tiger-Nut processing machine to boost the nation’s agricultural sector. Mr Kayode Ibidapo, Chairman of NATE, Lagos Branch, made this known during the association’s 2023 award ceremony, induction of new members and the unveiling of the industrial tiger-nut processing machine at FIIRO, Oshodi, Lagos. The theme of the event was, “Technological Advancement and the Nation’s Economic Growth. Ibidapo said that the machine was fabricated with raw materials gathered from Nigeria, and could be used for extracting high-quality milk from both tiger-nuts and coconut. Lagos Lawmaker Distributes Back-To-School Bags To Students

Princess Omolara Oyekan-Olumegbon, the member representing Lagos Island Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly has distributed back-to-school bags to pupils and students from 17 schools in the area. Speaking at the event on Saturday, Oyekan-Olumegbon said the school bags contained notebooks and stationeries. According to her, the back-to-school outreach will help to reduce the financial burden on parents as the children resume school. Oyekan-Olumegbon added that the gesture was also part of her commitment towards ensuring that the children, especially those from low-income families, had access to quality education and learning materials.
