Navy confiscates boat with over 800 jerricans of PMS

Lagos, Jan.20, 2024. The Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) BEECROFT has confiscated over 800 Jerricans of 30 liters suspected Premium Motor Spirit  (PMS) close to the boundary between Nigeria and Benin Republic 80 nautical miles seaward. The ships Commander, Commodore Kolawole Oguntuga in a statement signed on Friday said that the wooden boat carrying the jerricans of PMS's was arrested on Friday. "Under the ongoing Operation WATER GUARD, NNS BEECROFT in collaboration with the Forward Operating Base Badagry aided by seamless integration of credible human intelligence made the arrest possible. "Also, the effective utilisation of the Maritime Domain Awareness Facility, the Falcon Eye Alignment made this maritime feat achievable," he said. Oguntuga maintained that the Navy would continue to sustain dominance of the maritime space leveraging technology and other means to curb illegalities within the countrys maritime domain. Logistic Command lectures over 50 NAF veterans on health challenges and remedy

 Lagos, Jan. 14, 2024 The Logistics Command, Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Ikeja, Lagos State on Saturday conducted two lectures on how veterans can continue to take care of their health and remain relevant to the society even after retirement. Over 50 retired NAF personnel attended the NAF Medical Outreach which started on Friday and ended on Saturday. The outreach started on Friday and ended on Saturday, with medical outreaches in the three oldest NAF Commands as directed by the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar. The commands are: NAF Logistics Command, Lagos, NAF Training Command, Kaduna and NAF War College, Makurdi. The Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Logistics Command, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Yaro Abdullahi represented the CAS at the medical outreach which held in Lagos. The Logistic Command, Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Wednesday conducted a NAF Medical Veterans Outreach in commemorationof the year 2024 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day scheduled for Jan. 15. The Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Logistics Command, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Yaro Abdullahi, representing the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar said that the maiden edition was an initiative of the CAS. Abdullahi in an interview with newsmen at the Logistics Command, NAF Officers Mess, Ikeja said that the medical outreach would be held annually in commemmoration of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day. He said that the CAS, felt it necessary to reach out to retired colleagues that might have some form of medical issue so that they could be given medical attention. NANS honours NYSC National Development Boss With Youth Icon Excellence Award

The executives of the National Association of Nigeria Students, (NANS) drawn from the six geopolitical zones, led by its Chairman, Zonal Coordinator of NANS Forum, Comrade Anzaku Shedrack, has conferred an Award of Excellence on the NYSC Director of Corps Welfare and Health Services, Omotade Ayodele Folorunso Benjamin. The award conferment which took place at the Merit House Auditorium, Aguiyi Ironsi street, Maitama, Abuja at the end of two-day intensive in-house capacity training program organiser by Corps Welfare and Health Services Department of NYSC.
