 Nigerian Navy trains 29 NIMASA personnel on the use of Maritime Awareness Capability system Lagos, March 9, 2024  The Nigerian Navy on Friday graduated 29 personnel of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) on the use of Regional Maritime Awareness Capability (RMAC) system. The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Naval Doctrine Command, Rear Adm. Habilla Zakaria said that RMAC and the Maritime Domain Awareness system was a game changer in the safety and security of Nigeria's maritime domain. Akiniyi Oyelade, Deputy Commandant, Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC) Oshodi has encouraged parents, military and civilians alike, to provide adequate care and training for their children as future leaders. Oyelade said this as the Special Guest of Honour at the 2024 Nigerian Navy Ratings End of The Year Party which held at Navy Town, Lagos State. The general said that he was very passionate about bringing up a child to be mentally and physically healthy so that they can effectively contribute their own quota as future leaders. ASUU-LASUED Awards Scholarships To 6 Indigent Dtudents

  The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Lagos State University of Education (ASUU-LASUED) Chapter, has awarded scholarships to six indigent students of the institution. The national union awarded N200,000, each, to two students – Oluwakemisola Ajetunmobi from  Physics Department and Iseoluwa Amusan from Primary Education Department. While, ASUU-LASUED branch gave the remaining four students N100,000 each. The beneficiaries are Opeyemi Oyetakin from  Mathematics Department, Abidemi Samuel, Physics Department; Ayishat Gbolahan, Entrepreneurship Department; and Olamide Abiola, Mathematics Department. The Chairman of ASUU-LASUED, Mr Akolade Lapite, made this known in a statement on Friday. Lapite said that the scholarships were not merely financial aids but investments in  future leaders.
