LNSA installs solar systems, enhances security in Lagos

The Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) has installed solar systems in all 57 Local Government and Local Council Development Area offices to enhance service delivery.

Dr Ifalade Oyekan, General Manager of LNSA, stated that the solar infrastructure mitigates frequent power outages, mainly caused by vandalism, and ensures an uninterrupted power supply.

The agency also distributed essential tools to officers to enhance community policing and engagement programmes.

The distributed items included binoculars with night vision, flashlights, intelligence pen recorders, and megaphones.

Oyekan said the initiative was part of LNSA’s rebranding efforts to equip officers with the necessary tools to perform their duties effectively.

He added that it aligned with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s ongoing investment in security and governance under his administration’s THEMES Plus agenda.

He urged officers to ensure that all government properties under their supervision are well-maintained and protected.

He said: “Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, fulfilling his THEMES Plus Agenda promise, has shown unwavering commitment to the safety and security of Lagos residents and visitors.

“He has demonstrated this by making substantial investments in this agency and other security bodies.

“Your duty is to deliver world-class services to the people and properly maintain gadgets purchased with taxpayers’ money.”
