The Managing Director (MD) Fan Milk Nigeria, Mr Kayode Adebiyi has pledged to play its own Corporate Social Responsibility role in ensuring healthy and nutritious living for the residence of TA Lagbaja cantonment especially the children.

Adebiyi made this pledge on Wednesday in a statement signed by TA Lagbaja cantonment spokesman, Capt. Cornelius Gutus during his visit to the Commander of the cantonment, Brig.-Gen. Olawale Oyekola.

The MD could not hold back his satisfaction on the ongoing transformational projects within the Cantonment and pledged to contribute the company's own quota through CSR to the community.

"Fan Milk is a health and nutritional produce company with over 60 years of existence spanning rich integrations with the host community.

"I am amazed with various projects ongoing in the cantonment and believe that Fan Milk can equally play its own CSR role in ensuring healthy and nutritious living for the residence especially the children.

"I appreciate the military for remaining one of the stand-out arms of national structure whose sacrifices and services are unrepayable," Adebiyi said.


In his response, Brigadier General Matthew Oyekola thanked the Adebiyi for initiating the visit in order to identify with TA Lagbaja cantonment Nigerian Army.

He remarked that the efforts of Army Headquarters at renaming and giving much needed facelift to the cantonment main gate have attracted lots of interests from the government, individuals and corporate bodies.

The Commander used the visit to appreciate those currently adding values to TA Lagbaja Cantonment through a series of intervention projects.

"The idea of having Fan Milk Nutritional Day in the schools within the cantonment will key into the soldier first mantra of the Chief of Army Staff as it will have direct bearing on the welfare of the soldiers' children," the commander said.
