Jimi Benson Kicks Off Campaign, Promises More Dividends Of Democracy

Rep. Babajimi Benson, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, on Saturday promised to deliver more dividends of democracy to his constituents if elected for third term.

The lawmaker, who is also the chairman House Committee on Defence  made the promise at the official flag-off of his campaign held at the Ipakodo Jetty, Ebute Ikorodu, said that his performance and scorecard in the first term and second term would earn him a third term.

Commending the people of Ikorodu for giving him opportunity to represent them at the National Assembly, Benson said: "I promised to do more this time.

"I will continue to put smiles in the phase of people in my constituents with formidable and robust practical representation.

"With my scorecard, I believe I will be victorious at polls, while people should expect more from me."

The lawmaker expressed delight over the overwhelming love and support given to him in the last election.

Benson urged his supporters to go and collect their permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) as well as vote for candidates of APC from the Presidential to state assembly elections at the forthcoming general elections.

Road facilitated by Hon Jimi Benson Kaz Avenue, Ayangbadejo, Ajeboriogbon, Nike Olubodun and Ajoke Oyebo in Sabo/Grammar School area of Ikorodu.

Others are Eyita, Banuso, Igbe Road, Alashe street and Igbogbo to mention but a few.

Earlier, the Director General, APC campaign committee in Lagos, Mr Ganiu Solomon, urged the crowed to go out en-mass and vote for candidates of APC during for the top to the lowest.

Also speaking, Mr Sumi Odesanya, Secretery of APC, Lagos State said the lawmaker has facilitated many bills that brought infrastructural development and changed the political narrative in Ikorodu.

"We are here to celebrate the trophy ahead of the elections, God's willing he will sworn in and we shall all rejoice," he said.

Present were the Governance Advisory Council(GAC) members, Party leaders, all council Chairmen in Ikorodu division, Yoruba movies actors, community leaders and party members.

Fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal popularly known as KWAM 1 entertained party members at the campaign ground.

 Nigerian Navy trains 29 NIMASA personnel on the use of Maritime Awareness Capability system Lagos, March 9, 2024  The Nigerian Navy on Friday graduated 29 personnel of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) on the use of Regional Maritime Awareness Capability (RMAC) system. ASUU-LASUED Awards Scholarships To 6 Indigent Dtudents

  The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Lagos State University of Education (ASUU-LASUED) Chapter, has awarded scholarships to six indigent students of the institution. The national union awarded N200,000, each, to two students – Oluwakemisola Ajetunmobi from  Physics Department and Iseoluwa Amusan from Primary Education Department. While, ASUU-LASUED branch gave the remaining four students N100,000 each. The beneficiaries are Opeyemi Oyetakin from  Mathematics Department, Abidemi Samuel, Physics Department; Ayishat Gbolahan, Entrepreneurship Department; and Olamide Abiola, Mathematics Department.
