The National Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE) has fabricated an industrial Tiger-Nut processing machine to boost the nation’s agricultural sector. Mr Kayode Ibidapo, Chairman of NATE, Lagos Branch, made this known during the association’s 2023 award ceremony, induction of new members and the unveiling of the industrial tiger-nut processing machine at FIIRO, Oshodi, Lagos. The Leadership Initiative For Youths Empowerment(LIFE) a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO),h has begun a  three-day sensitisation  workshop on Gender Based Violence and human rights for no fewer than 32 young women in Lagos State. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the sensitisation workshop held at Envougue Plaza, Okota, Lagos State. Gender-based violence (GBV) is violence committed against a person because of his or her sex or gender. It is forcing another person to do something against his or her will through violence, coercion, threats, deception, cultural expectations, or economic means.    The Civil Society Action Coalition on Education For All (CSACEFA) ,Lagos State Chapter has trained its members on capacity building  to further engage the duty bearers especially the state government and the various MDAs on budgets implementation,tracking and analysis tools training. Navy Seizes 200 Bags of Cannabis Worth N29 billion

  In an effort to combat criminal activity at sea, the Nigerian Navy in Lagos has on Tuesday said it successfully intercepted a prohibited substance called cannabis.  The interception was made possible through the utilization of Falcon Eye, a state-of-the-art maritime awareness domain facility technology. Commodore Kolawale Oguntuga, the commander of Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) BEECROFT, disclosed this information during a press conference held in Apapa. He stated that the interception took place in the early hours of July 3 near Ibeju Lekki. “On this day the falcon eye was able to detect the activity of criminals transferring bags of canabis  from boats to land. “As soon as we realized it, patrol teams both on water and land swiftly swung into action to ensure that the criminals did not escape. “On sighting our men, they fled and we were able to confiscate the consignment and we recovered over 200 bags.
