  COAS assures improved security operations in Katsina, entire country  Lagos, Aug.29, 2025 The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, has assured that the Nigerian Army under his leadership will step up operations to further secure Katsina State and the entire Nigerian space.   Ijebu Ode Fire: Army confirms explosion at barracks says no life lost  Lagos, Aug.14, 2025 The Nigerian Army has confirmed that a minor explosion and subsequent fire outbreak occurred in the early hours of Thursday at Ilese Barracks, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. The Nigerian Army spokesperson, Lt.-Col. Appolonia Anele in a statement signed on Thursday said that no life was lost during the unfortunate incident.
