 NAFRC concludes annual range classification exercise Lagos, Sept.16, 2025 (NAN) The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC) successfully concluded its 2025 annual Range Classification 2025 held on Sept.15 at the 192 Battalion Nigerian Army Shooting Range, Owode. The Commandant, NAFRC AVM Bashir Mamman said that the event was more than a test of marksmanship and a reaffirmation of the bond and operational readiness that defined the military profession. The exercise featured weapon classifications which included the rifle and pistol, with emphasis on live firing, safety protocols, and performance evaluations. Mamman lauded the professionalism, discipline, and team spirit displayed throughout the exercise. ICSAN urges governance professionals to embrace AI

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) has stressed the need for governance professionals to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) in addressing emerging global challenges.   Mr Francis Olawale, Vice President of ICSAN, made this known on Monday at a news conference in Lagos to announce the institute’s forthcoming annual conference.   Olawale said AI was rapidly transforming corporate governance by reshaping decision-making, accountability, and risk management.   He emphasised that corporate governance now extends beyond compliance and reporting, requiring integration of strategy, innovation, and technology.   He cautioned that governance professionals must balance technology use with ethics, legality, and transparency.   “We should not feel threatened by AI.  Mrs Omolara Oyekan-Olumegbon, lawmaker representing Lagos Island Constituency I, Lagos State House of Assembly, has reiterated her commitment to inclusive governance, focusing on welfare, infrastructure, and empowerment. Army trains teaching staff for enhanced excellence in Command and military schools  Lagos, Sept.2, 2025 The Nigerian Army is investing in training teaching staff of Command schools and military schools by equipping them with the requisite professional knowledge in line with best practices. The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division Nigerian Army, Maj.-Gen. Farouk Mijinyawa said that the training would equip participants with contemporary teaching methods, digital technologies, improved admistration, emotional intelligence and professional ethics.
