NGO To Support Youths To develop Solutions To Climate Change Effects

Andrew Enegbeta, the president of Nigeria Institute of Sports (NIS) students, on Thursday said over 300 students of the institution were participating in about 15 different sports in its ongoing annual Students’ Week. CREDITE Capital Declares N30m Dividend For Shareholders

CREDITE Capital Finance and Investment Ltd., has declared N30 million dividend to shareholders at 14k per share for the year ended Dec. 31, 2022. Its Managing Director, Mr Segun Ogunleye, who disclosed this at the company’ 6th Annual General Meeting 2023 (AGM) on Tuesday in Lagos said it also declared a bonus of N25 million to shareholders. Ogunleye said the dividend was an increase of 27 per cent against N21 million for year ended Dec. 31, 2021 at 11k per share.   No fewer than 120 junior players converged on Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on Saturday, for the finals of the fourth edition of Ex-Pro Diaspora Squash U-11,U-13 and U- 16 boys and girls championships. The Ex-Pro Diaspora is a group retired players who organise tournaments as a way of giving back to squash and to develop the sport at the grassroots.   Some stakeholders on Sunday commended the organisers of the just concluded fourth edition of the Ex-Pro Diaspora tournament for developing squash at the grassroots. The stakeholders gave the commendation in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos. The Ex-Pro Diaspora is a group of retired players based abroad who organise tournaments as a way of giving back to squash and to develop the sport at the grassroots. A legal luminary, Mr Wahab Shittu, has advised the Federal Government to use savings from fuel subsidy to build critical infrastructure that would benefit all Nigerians. Shittu gave the advice at the 2nd Mohammed Fawehinmi Annual Lecture and 1st Scholarship Award held in Ikeja on Friday. The lecture had the theme: “Removal of fuel subsidy and its impact on Nigerian masses”. Shittu, who is also a prosecutor for the anti-graft agencies, noted that about USD1.23 billion was reported to have been saved in just two months of scrapping the subsidy on petrol.
